Smart glasses that even looks smart
The most used headset among our most tech-savvy employees is also the simplest. All it returns is text – in the good old green format like the computers from the past.

Simple solutions are still mind-blowing.
Not that we all didn’t release sounds of awe when we first put on the Apple Vision Pro and still love to put on the Meta Quest 3 headset and immerse ourselves in one of the experiences we built for our customers.
There are two keywords in the above paragraph that makes all the difference in comparison to the most used headset in our clubhouse (as we proudly call our office/studio). The two words are: Put on.
Right now, at almost every waken hour, at least our Chief Product Officer, Jens Lauritsen, never takes his glasses from Even Realities off. He simply went to the optician and ordered a pair with the right prescription and now uses them instead of his old glasses.
And he is in love. Just follow him on LinkedIn and you will notice: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jenslauritsen/
Just what you need, only when you need it – AR at its best
For years, we have been preaching that someday we will all wear something that provides data in front of your eyes. When you wear the glasses from Even Realities, tilt your head slightly upward, and green text will appear in your field of vision.
Through an app on your phone, you set up notifications for what you want to see. It can show you directions, it can show you calendar and messages, it has a build-in AI that can answer your vocally spoken questions (do not use it to cheat in Trivial Pursuit) and it has the killer app of giving you subtitles of language spoken to you – in (almost) any language.
So, when your Chinese, Argentinian, Polish, Swedish or French colleague talks to you in their native language, you can get live sub-titles right in your field of view.
Jens even put the glasses on his 88-year-old hearing impaired mother. And – again – if you follow him on LinkedIn, you can see the smile on her face, when she could see what he was saying.
How will our new smart glasses change the world
We have been long enough in the game of developing XR to know that not everyone will rush to the store to buy these. And we are even still figuring out how we can build applications for them to help our customers.
But we have also been in the game long enough to know that these guys have crossed a very important barrier. They have made smart glasses that actually look smart. Where other people cannot tell that you are wearing some tech-gear on your head and think of you as a freak.
It is the same reason as the Meta Rayban are selling in large numbers – you can wear them and still look normal. Instead of ‘put on’, you do not want to ‘take off’ because then you are missing something.
The Even Realities G1 glasses have microphones and touch sensors but no camera. Elegant design, simple-to-use features, and easy to wear all the time. Who would have imagined that a monochrome green display with a 640 x 200 resolution would have knocked our most tech-savvy colleagues off their feet.
